Welcome, Bienvenidos
The Mexican Cultural Institute of Los Angeles is your home and we are happy that you want to learn more about us.
At our location at the birthplace of Los Angeles – El Pueblo Historical Monument – we share the rich culture and history of Mexico and its people: Mexicanos, Mexican-Americans, Chicanos and Latinos.
What will you find on MCI @ El Pueblo?
Our gallery hosts ground-breaking art exhibits, music and cultural performances, book readings, lectures and the best in educational programming. You can read and learn about Mexican history at our Library Resource Center. In our Multipurpose Room, you can use our computers to search, learn, admire and enjoy folkloric and fine art – plus you can attend an art or theater workshop. We also participate in many activities throughout El Pueblo Historical Monument, such as at Olvera Street, Plaza de Dolores and the Plaza Olvera.
What will you find on MCI @ El Pueblo’s website?
Catch up on our latest programs (and even past events), read about us in the news and enjoy images from our permanent collection. Importantly, you can become involved with MCI @ El Pueblo by donating and volunteering.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
