MCI is centrally located in downtown Los Angeles just north of the Hollywood 101 Freeway, two blocks from Los Angeles City Hall and across the street from Union Station.

Public Transportation

Metrolink

To Union Station:
This station is served by the Red Line (Los Angeles Metro), Purple Line (Los Angeles Metro) and the Gold Line (Los Angeles Metro).

Exit Union Station to the west; as you leave the station from the main entrance, cross Alameda Street walk one block east to La Placita Olvera/Olvera Street.

Bus Rapid Transit

Take any bus that stops at the Plaza and any of the following: Main Street, Los Angeles Street, Arcadia Street, Alameda Street or Cesar Chavez Boulevard. The Big Blue Bus from Santa Monica stops close by on Temple Street. Many buses also stop at Union Station, which is just across the street from El Pueblo and Olvera Street. The DASH bus connects downtown Los Angeles, Little Tokyo, Chinatown and the financial district to El Pueblo with DASH buses stopping every 10 minutes and costing only 25 cents. For more information about DASH, click here.

Parking

There are 5 parking lots at El Pueblo. Lots 1 and 2 are on Main Street. Lot 3 and Lot 5 are on Alameda Street and Lot 4 is on Los Angeles Street.

The Mexican Cultural Institute is closed during private events and on the following public holidays:
New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day.
